Christophe Decarnin is leaving Balmain
purple-diary:
Christophe Decarnin, who has been the creative director of Balmain for the past five years, announced his departure today. Balmain should be announcing later today who has been appointed as the new designer, most likely someone already on the internal design team.

Here’s a little something I’ve been working on. Much as I love tumblr, I’m increasingly finding it too image-based for what I’m trying to do, so I’m moving over, and keeping my tumblr for my own stream of consciousness, and unending inspiration.
Come check it out! I’d love to know what you think.

This week, FrockOn’s writer from Michigan, was crowned Glamour Magazine’s best dressed reader for her layered, winter ensemble. Check out her own fabulous blog, Statements in Fashion, for more cute outfits and a new look at styling from her hometown, Michigan! What a gorgeous lady!

Jeffrey Campbell on my Mind
I won’t be happy until he’s on my feet, too.
New York Trip
On thursday I flew to New York for a crazy three days of interviews, filming, eating pizza, cooing over jewellry, photoshoots, putting on clothes, taking off clothes, running madly around the city, wandering lazily around Brooklyn, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, mastering the subway and getting to some of the best people that the States and Vancouver have to...
Okay girls and boys, I’ve been away for a little while. ‘What Maisie Did’ has been neglected because Maisie was doing, thinking and feeling too much to stop and write about it, it seems.
But I’m back, now. I’m learning to keep my eyes forward instead of constantly glancing back over my shoulder, and it seems that forward is pretty exciting, actually. Who’d have...

Still not bored of camel.
I’ve been having a little rest from blogging, while the rest of my life catches up. I’ll be back in a couple of weeks.
In the meantime, check out FrockOn for an interview I did with model Ellie Weston, and some style gems from over the Atlantic.

Forgive me, ladies and gentlemen, for being frank, but I don’t think I’ll surprise too many people when I say that I am no Terry Richardson fan. In fact, he makes my skin crawl in the same way that the idea of eating snails makes my skin crawls - and trust me, I tried ‘em, the bark was definitely no worse than the bite. As far as I can tell, the underage girls smeared with...
Rumi Neely
I’m going to come right out and say it; I’m in love with Rumi Neely.
I’m never one to be shy about having a girl crush, (see Kate Moss, Daisy Lowe, Rose Huntington-Whiteley, Beyonce; in fact, girl crush more or less translates as ‘women whose style I really admire’), and I have a HUGE one on this lady. Style blogger and creator of Fashion Toast, bessie mate of...

A Beginner’s Guide to Thrifting, a personal interview with the owners of Lost and Found Vintage, a sparkling review of the fabulous Timo Weiland at Fashion Week and pretty girls in frilly knickers - what more could you want on a rainy friday afternoon?
Check out the NY based fashion blog, and let the team know what’s frockin’ in the UK in the comments section. We do so love to...
Maisie Moves
I tripped over some couture on my way to enrol at university, yesterday. I think I’m gonna like it in London.
Pont des Arts
On my last night, we locked a tiny padlock to the Pont des Arts, and threw the keys into the Seine.
